Guidelines for Eating to Gain Energy and Lose Body Fat
We don't give you any "diets" you have to adhere to. What we do is allow you to choose your own foods from the list of possibilities, utilizing guidelines for your particular body and your goals. Yes, we'll tell you how you can still eat your favorite foods, and still be losing body fat. You will be given guidelines for the foods that provide the most energy to the human body.
Recommendations for Total Body Workouts
You must be the one to perform each and every workout. Wouldn't you agree that it won't work any other way? You will be given guidelines for following our workouts that will give you optimal results for reaching your goals. In order to reach your goals, you might be required to workout 5 or 6 days per week. Or maybe just 4 days per week. Again, your particular situation will determine this.
Workbook to Use Daily
You will receive your own book to keep forever. It will have information for you to read and re-read which will help you achieve your goals. You will use your book for logging in your own information.
Weekly Support Meetings (and Measurements)
Every week we will meet to check your food/workout log, take your measurements, and discuss your week's goals. You will also receive educational materials. You will have the opportunity to get the support you need from all the other participants in your group, as well as from your coaches. Your weekly progress will be reviewed and we will assist you in making the small changes that will help you achieve your goals.
Two Body Composition Readings (beginning and end of 10 weeks)
The method we chose is the best we could find out there. It is simple and requires no special instructions of you. It is called "near infrared."
The "gold" standard of body fat/composition readings is the "under water" method. This method requires you to release all the air out of your lungs, submerge yourself under water, be absolutely still, expel any remaining air in your lungs, then wait for the technician to tell you to come up for air. Then you need to do this two more times to get an average. Yes, it is a difficult test.
The "near infrared" method used for the Kick-n-Flex Fitness program requires that you stand on a scale, get weighed, and then sit down and place your forearm on a table. A round 4" patch-like material is placed on your bicep, and the reading is taken. That's all there is to it! It is within 1% to 2% accurate of the "gold standard." Your readings will be taken on the first day of the program, and 10 weeks later, on the last day of the program. This is the most accurate way of determining changes in your body composition (body fat, lean muscle, hydration level).
Support Team of Participants and Coaches
Your support team consists of anybody in your life who helps you to attain your goals. In addition, you will have a support team built into the Kick-n-Flex Fitness program. All participants support each other, and your coaches will always be available 7 days per week.
