Why do 30 minute classes work?
There is a concept called Microburst Training Protocol. This is achieved through a manner of working out called HIIT. This is the high-intensity interval training you’ve been hearing about. Your body works at a high level for short bursts of time. You in essence boost your caloric burn after you are done exercising so your body keeps burning more calories long after the exercise is over (for at least 24 hours). Classes of 30 minutes duration have proven to be successful with this type of training.
Keep in mind, everyone in the room is at a different level. Most start out at a lower intensity (very important for your safety).
In addition to classes, there are 6-minute online videos, available to all participants in an 8-week session, which will also boost metabolism for 24 hours and help burn an additional 250 calories a day (yes, research has proven this).
Even though it is hard to believe results can be achieved from just 6 minutes of training, keep in mind that in addition to the 50 calories burned during this 6 minutes, during the next 24 hours, the body burns another 250, for a total of 300 calories (from such a short workout!). And remember that this is just to keep metabolism “boosted” and puts people in a great mind-set for the day.

Tabata Bootcamp~Healthy Weight Loss & Fitness was developed from the Tabata Bootcamp program, created by Mindy and Bruce Mylrea, after 8 years of research and development. They wanted to create a workout that would benefit the most people (fit and unfit), and would also give people lasting change in health and weight loss. Something was missing from 'the norm.'
After many years of research, they discovered it was behavioral change. There are numerous diets and exercise regimens out there, but none (at the time) dealt with the behavioral changes necessary to make lasting change into permanent change. They realized people needed to be educated, and they needed support to make behavioral changes necessary to have lasting results.
Thus they were guided into what today is known as Tabata Bootcamp:™ an 8-week program that provides all the support people need to stay on track and learn new habits that will have lasting, permanent change in their lives. We provide all the tools and support; you provide your determination, desire, persistence, and patience. Since we have added other perks and to this original program, we named it Tabata Healthy Weight Loss and Fitness Bootcamp.™
Tabata Healthy Weight Loss and Fitness Bootcamp™ requires no more than 30 minutes 3x/week, plus one other optional workout, to achieve phenomenal results.
Small group training has shown to have greater benefits, as you are not “on your own” through the workout. Your Tabata Coach is there for you, encouraging you and inspiring you to move your body through the workout, correcting your form, and encouraging you to go a bit further. And your team is also there with you, doing the same thing you are doing. Everyone works together to get through this shorter, 30-minute class. Group support is a great motivator!
When people want to lose unhealthy levels of excess fat, the focus is usually on the number of calories burned during a workout. This is great, and it gives you something to work toward (keep going in order to burn all those calories). However, once you stop, within 15 minutes of cooling down, your body stops burning excess calories.
With Tabata workouts, the focus is on what happens after exercise is over. Yes, after your workouts, your body will continue to burn energy for another 24 hours! This happens because of the way we move through the 30-minute workouts. The “after burn” is what happens with weight training when the muscles are taken to fatigue. The difference is that there is very little equipment used in Tabata workouts, and you only move for 30 minutes instead of 50 or 60.
The exercises you perform through each of your workouts are combined with metabolic tracking, and 24/7 online group support for a total transformation program.
You and your team will meet with your trainer 3 times a week for workouts that focus on your upper body, your core, and lower body, for results that will amaze you. You’ll be getting cardio and strength, and then you’ll repeat. With small group training, you know that everyone on your team is 'on your side' (unlike traditional workouts where everyone in the class is on their own, and when it's over, most people just leave).
