Self Defense Santa Cruz – Karate Classes Santa Cruz offer engaging and practical training for kids and teens. In addition, these programs include self-defense workshops that teach safety skills in a fun, supportive environment. Furthermore, you can request a private workshop tailored specifically for your group.
Our next Teens Girls Self-Defense Workshop takes place in July 2025 from 11:30 pm to 2:30 pm at The Tannery, Studio 111, for ages 12–17. Therefore, check back soon for the exact date.

In addition, my extended experience in martial arts and Self Defense – Karate Classes allows me to give each child the best methods, tools, and skills to stay as safe as possible in our community. As a result, they gain the confidence to handle challenges effectively. Furthermore, these skills empower them to make safer choices in everyday life.

Whatever your answer, remember that with the ability to speak up, know what to say, and use physical know-how, your child can stay as safe as possible in confrontational situations.
In addition, your child will learn strategies for dealing with bullies, responding to inappropriate comments, and taking action in potentially threatening situations. As a result, they gain the ability to speak up in any circumstance, express their preferences and goals, and earn respect for doing so.
Moreover, our workshops provide “urgency self-defense” training that delivers immediate, practical skills. Consequently, the know-how they gain starts them on the path to staying safe in everyday life. Most of all, it’s incredibly empowering.

In these sessions, children learn to make decisions based on their own ideas, words, actions, feelings, needs, and thoughts—rather than following the thoughts, ideas, and actions of others. Furthermore, when a child “follows” all the time, they give someone else their power. However, when they choose to make their own decisions among their peers, they start becoming leaders. While understanding how this dynamic works can be helpful, knowing how to make it happen matters far more for a child.
We all want strong, confident, and happy children with an “I can do anything” attitude. In addition, changing behavioral patterns takes time. However, the Bully Breakers program gives them a huge head start in developing this mindset.
Moreover, children matter to us just as they matter to you. Too often, I see children feel powerless, unsure of what to say or do to maintain their power. They simply have not received the training they need.
